Using Information Responsibly Tutorial

In the Using Information Responsibly Tutorial you can learn about the importance of academic integrity, how to avoid plagiarism, and basic tips for citing and documenting your sources in your coursework. ResearchPath Tutorial

The ResearchPath Tutorial offers research tips and tricks to enable researchers to do their work.

Open Educational Resources

  • Introduction to Open Educational Resources: This module defines OER, explains its purpose, and explains how copyright, the public domain, and fair use factor into the conversation
  • OER Licensing: In this module learn more about the 5 R's (retain, reuse, revise, remix, and redistribute) and how these OER principles are used to create Creative Commons licenses. These licenses make it easier for creators to identify how they want their work to be used by others

  • Reference Sources: Limit Results by Location in the Library Catalog. (5:38)
  • SCORE Learn how to evaluate the sources chosen for your research project based on the SCORE criteria of Scope, Currency, Originality level, Reason, and Expertise of author.  The resulting credibility score and your judgment about relevance to your topic combine to determine which source(s) to use for your college-level research project.
