How To Apply

  1. Click the link to Handshake and search for jobs in the Pond Student Union Building in the following areas:  Bengal Theater, Craft Shop, Games Center, Mail Center, Student Union Facilities, Scheduling & Event Services.
  2. If a position is available fill out the information and attach a resume. 
  3. Once we have your Handshake application it will be reviewed.  The supervisor will then contact you for a job interview if you meet the qualifications.

Usher – Bengal Theater
  • $12.00/hr
  • Operate Bengal Theater ticket office
  • Handle concession and ticket sales
  • Make popcorn and maintain the popcorn maker
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and operate projector and sound system

 

Craft Shop Assistant
  • $12.00/hr
  • Handle cash transactions for retail services
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Craft Shop
  • Assist in various activities within the Craft Shop including Craft Shop classes, recycling clay, maintaining equipment, communicates accurate information about Craft Shop products, services and classes

Customer Service Representative - Games Center
  • $12.00/hr
  • Facilitate usage of Games Center equipment including
    bowling lanes and shoes, pool tables, air hockey etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Games Center area
  • Provide concessions to customers
  • Handle cash
  • Monitor use of Games Center area

Mail Handler
  • $12.00/hr
  • Responsible for the over-the-counter sales and interactions
  • Responsible for checking in packages from the various carriers (i.e. UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL)
  • Responsible for checking packages out to patrons as well as making sales following Postal Service regulations
  • Pick up, sort, and deliver mail to campus departments
  • Apply postage to mail being sent out from campus departments
  • Work with a team to receive packages from USPS, FedEx, and UPS
  • Assist window clerks in retrieving packages for customers

Student Building Manager
  • $15.00/hr
  • Meet, greet and assist customers for scheduled events
  • Set up audio/visual equipment and conference furniture
  • Maintain cleanliness within meeting spaces 
  • Work with customers to ensure correct set up and monitor events for technical issues
  • Recognize and report maintenance and safety issues
  • Respond to customer calls
  • Supervise student employees
  • Report activities occurring during shifts
  • Promote and facilitate communication among staff
  • Assist in training new employees
Building Maintenance Assistant
  • $12.00/hr
  • Perform general building maintenance including painting projects and minor repairs
  • Provide limited support to full time PSU craftsman
  • Pick up parts and materials
  • Check and replace lightbulbs
  • Assist with moving furniture, wall painting, and other building equipment
  • Minor equipment repairs
  • Report fire hazards and other emergencies
Student Facility Specialist
  • $12.00/hr
  • Perform cleaning and light maintenance throughout the Student Union
  • Maintain custodial equipment
  • Recognize and report maintenance and safety issues
  • Interface with students, faculty, staff, and customers
Event Services Specialist
  • $12.00/hr
  • Meet, greet and assist customers for scheduled events
  • Set up audio/visual equipment and conference furniture
  • Maintain cleanliness within meeting spaces
  • Work with customers to ensure correct set up and monitor events for technical issues
  • Recognize and report maintenance and safety issues
