Nonprofit Beneficiaries Announced for 2025 Festival of Trees
June 30, 2025
Festival of Trees is proud to announce the nonprofit groups who will receive funding from the Festival of Trees event this year, happening November 19-22 at the Stephens Performing Arts Center. Interested groups were asked to submit proposals, including details about the missions of their organizations and how Festival funds would be used. After reviewing the submissions, the Festival of Trees Committee has chosen the following groups: All About the Animals Coalition, Friends of the Edson Fichter Nature Area, Pocatello Free Clinic and Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This group of nonprofits will be added to the groups that are gifted funds every year, Idaho State University Scholarships, Make-a-Wish Idaho and the School District 25 Education Foundation, bringing the total beneficiary group this year to seven organizations.
“We had a large group of incredibly worthy nonprofits apply,” said Festival Director Suzette Porter. “It was difficult to decide, but we feel these groups represent a variety of demographics and causes from throughout the community.”
Now that the nonprofits are set, the Festival of Trees committee is fully focused on finding sponsors and donors for the event.
“The amount each of these groups will receive depends entirely on the amount of money we’re able to raise during the event,” said Porter. “The more event sponsors we get, the more decorated trees we get donated and the more silent auction items we receive will all have a direct impact on these groups and their missions that help make our community a better place.”
The Festival of Trees, presented by the Idaho State University College of Business and sponsored by Lookout Credit Union, is a tradition that captures the magic of the holidays while bringing the community together in support of local education and community needs. During the Festival, Stephens Performing Arts Center is transformed into a wonderland of beautifully decorated holiday trees and displays, with attractions and entertainment scheduled daily. These events include the Grand Holiday Gala, Children's Royal Tea Party, Breakfast with Santa, musical performances and more.
“There’s an opportunity for businesses and individuals to make a difference at any budget,” said Porter. “From a full event sponsorship to a gift card from your business, every donation adds up.”
