Fall 2025 Honors Envoys
Director's Assistant & Recruitment Envoy | Liz Arellano Santoyo

My name is Liz Arellano Santoyo and I am a fourth-year student studying Health Sciences and Spanish for the Health Professions. After ISU, I plan to attend medical school to serve rural and underserved communities. Outside of school, I love baking, nail art, and going to concerts. I am serving as the Director's Assistant where I review honors contracts and work on internal Honors affairs. I want to give back to the Honors Program, as it has played a vital role throughout my college career. This opportunity allows me to contribute in various areas while proudly representing Honors. In addition, the position will help me further develop my organizational and networking skills.
Instructional Assistant Envoy | Amina Miljkovic

Hi, I'm Amina Miljkovic! I am a third-year student studying Health Sciences (Pre-Dental) and Spanish for Health Professions while also obtaining an academic certificate in Civic Engagement as a Bobette Wilhelm Civic Scholar. I serve as one of the Instructional Assistant Envoys in which I assist Dr. Holt and Dr. Rick with designing, evaluating and facilitating the HONS1100 classes in the fall. I am excited to serve in this position as I enjoy peer-led learning and acting as an upper division resource for first-year honors students. Outside of academics, I am an avid sweet-treat-and-shop kind of person that loves ridiculous Dutch Bros rebel orders, attending concerts—Daniel Caesar, Hozier and Lumineers have been my favorites—and collecting pins and keepsakes alike!
Instructional Assistant Envoy | Jazzy Hernandez

Hello everyone! My name is Jazzy Hernandez, a current sophomore at ISU, and I am pursuing a double major in Psychology and Criminology. As an instructional assistant, I help Dr. Holt and Dr. Rick facilitate, organize, and grade HONS 1100 in the fall. In this role, I am another resource for first-year honors students to use, as well as assist their social growth in and out of the program. Outside of school, I enjoy going to the gym, watching various TV shows, and spending time with my friends and family! I am a big music enthusiast, so let me know what my next concert to attend should be. I look forward to this semester and being able to connect with new students!
Communications and Outreach Envoy | Grace Mitchell

Hello, I am Grace Mitchell and I am a second-year student majoring in Biology and Health Sciences as a Pre-Optometry student! When I'm done with schooling for Optometry, I hope to partner with a clinic to provide affordable eye care either in a smaller city, or nationally as part of a missions team. When I'm not studying, I like to draw, sing, bake, hang out with friends, and spend time in the Bible! This semester I am the Communications and Outreach Envoy. In this position, I am responsible for helping make the UHPWU newsletters! I decided to apply for this position as it allowed me to be able to give back to the Honors Program, get more connected, and get further support for my academic career while being able to work in a creative position.
Website Development Envoy | Amanda Coburn

My name is Amanda Coburn (she/her). I am a nontraditional and first-generation student pursuing my Honors Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art with minors in art history and history. As the Fall 2025 Web Development Envoy, I update the events and weekly update archive pages of the website. Being an Envoy allows me to keep my web and graphic design skills sharp and use them in service to a program that gives me so much. I am also a TRIO McNair Scholar and after I graduate from ISU in Spring 2027, I intend to earn my Master of Fine Arts and Doctorate of Philosophy degrees. I’m stoked on creative research and hope to continue my career in the academic space.
