Application Process
Applications are now open and will close April 4, 2026.
Please note, you must be accepted to Idaho State University as a student and complete the Paramedic Science application. You may apply to the program prior to your formal ISU admission being finalized, but this is required. Please visit isu.edu/apply to complete a New Student Application. Current ISU students do not need to reapply.
1) Application Instructions: Fall 2026 Paramedic Science Application Instructions
2) Prerequisite courses (or equivalents) must be complete or in-progress with an anticipated end date no later than the beginning of fall classes. Prerequisite courses and requirements are:
- Successful completion of Anatomy and Physiology with a C or better within the previous five years. Students may select from HO 1111: Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology or BIOL 2227 AND 2228: Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II. BIOL 227/2227 alone does NOT meet the requirement for A&P.
- Successful completion of Medical Terminology (CPH 2210 or equivalent) with a C or better within the last five (5) years.
- Passing the National Registry EMT exams, both written and practical, and providing the Paramedic Science program with a copy of your National Registry card (current state certifications are also accepted).
- Providing a copy of your current AHA BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider CPR card.
