ASL / English Interpreter Service Request

An ASL/English interpreter is a professional who translates between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken or written English. Their primary role is to facilitate communication between Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals who use ASL and hearing individuals who use English. This can take place in various settings, such as meetings, educational environments, medical appointments, or social events.

The interpreter ensures that the meaning, tone, and intent of the conversation are accurately conveyed in both directions, whether that means translating spoken English into ASL or ASL into spoken or written English. They need to be fluent in both ASL and English, and they often receive specialized training to handle the cultural nuances of both languages.
