Outstanding Dietetics Student Awards
In April 2025, Idaho State University proudly celebrated the achievements of two exceptional students from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. Sari J. Landers, a recent graduate student of the MS/Dietetic Internship program, and Travis Jensen, an undergraduate in the Didactic Program in Dietetics, were honored with the Outstanding Dietetics Student Awards by the Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAND). This prestigious recognition highlights their academic excellence, leadership, and dedication to the field of nutrition and dietetics. The awards were presented during the IAND Annual Meeting held on April 17, 2025, in Boise, Idaho.
Sari Landers is known for her commitment to community health and is currently practicing dietetics in southeastern Idaho. Travis Jensen has demonstrated outstanding leadership and academic performance throughout his undergraduate studies. Both students exemplify the caliber of professionals the department strives to cultivate.

Lifetime Achievement Award
In April 2025, Dr. Barbara J. Gordon, EdD, MBA, RDN, FAND, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Idaho State University, was honored with the Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAND) Lifetime Achievement Award. This esteemed accolade is the highest honor bestowed by IAND, recognizing a member's extensive contributions and dedicated service to the field of nutrition and dietetics.
Dr. Gordon's illustrious career is marked by her unwavering commitment to advancing the profession through education, research, and leadership. Her efforts have not only elevated the standards of dietetic practice in Idaho but have also inspired countless students and professionals nationwide. The Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates her enduring impact and the profound respect she has garnered from her peers.
