Biographical Sketch

I earned my Bachelor's in Microbiology at the University of Wyoming in 2016 before earning my Master's in Biology at Walla Walla University in 2019. Since then, I have taught several courses in the biological sciences at the collegiate level, including General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Terminology. I'm currently a doctoral student in the Biology Learning and Teaching laboratory here at ISU, researching how biology students develop a sense of belonging in science as a result of their contributions in class.

Current Research

I'm working on identifying the ways in which biology students are positioned as and recognized as contributors in three contextualized freshman-level courses contribute to their sense of belonging.
