Biographical Sketch
Bailee is a Master’s student studying invasive plant genomics and bioinformatics. She graduated from the University of Alabama in May of 2025, having changed her plans from forensic pathology to astrobiology to finally bioinformatics and invasive plant genomics- partially inspired by her memories of kudzu spanning the roadsides of her hometown, and after spending many hours happily messing around with code. She is now researching diffuse knapweed, trying to understand the population structure and possible genomic advances they may have.
In her free time, she can be found at home (almost exclusively), typically either crocheting or playing various video games on her PC.
Current Research
Invasive plant genomics, ecological genomics, and bioinformatics
