The Academic Standards Council (ASC) is a sub-council of the Faculty Senate and reports directly to Faculty Senate. The purpose of the ASC is to recommend to the Faculty Senate and then to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, university policy and procedures pertaining to undergraduate academic standards for admission, progression, and the granting of degrees and certificates.
