The Idaho State Advising Symposium aims to create a collaborative environment with regional colleges and universities for sharing effective strategies and fostering professional growth. This professional development event is tailored for academic advisors, faculty advisors, and anyone else who interacts with and supports students. Attendees will participate in discussions based on best practices, explore new advising strategies, and strengthen collaboration to enhance student success.

Location: Pond Student Union Building (1065 Cesar Chavez Ave, Pocatello, ID 83209)
Parking is recommended near the Pond Student Union Building. Attendees can view the Campus Map for assistance finding this parking lot.
We are excited for you to join us for a day filled with professional development opportunities. Plans are being developed to host a social networking the evening before for those interested.

8:00 – 8:30 AM: Check-in, Coffee & Breakfast
8:30 – 8:45 AM: Welcome, Purpose, Agenda Overview
9:00 – 9:50 AM: Choice Session #1
10:00 – 10:50 AM: Choice Session #2
11:00 – 11:50 AM: Choice Session #3
12:00 – 12:50 PM: Lunch and Networking
1:00 – 1:50 PM: Choice Session #4
2:00 – 2:50 PM: Choice Session #5
3:00 – 3:30 PM: Raffle, Prizes, Closing Remarks & Thank You

The deadline to submit your RSVP for the Advising Symposium is Friday, August 22, 2025.
